Diagram of the bottom and crown for exhaust gas 49-50 cm.

My yarn

My connected 13 rows of the bottom:

Up to the 13th row inclusive, we knit the same for all sizes.
* * *
ATTENTION:
When knitting a pattern in those places where we stick the hook into the post, it is advisable to use the “deep” sticking method. The hook must be inserted not under the two upper half-loops of the column, but into the body of the column itself. This method will not allow the pattern to shift when we knit with the crown.
* * *
Starting from the 15th row for all sizes we knit according to the pattern. Repeat rows 15-20 two more times.
They differ from the 15-20th only in the last row. Instead of a dc, I knitted a sc.
We also knit rows 33-38 according to the pattern.
38th row - RLS in each column.
The fields start from the 39th row.

We finish with the CROWN and insert the FIRST regelin equal to the circumference of the head. I made one vein. This is where we complete the work of the RLS. Steam.

We knit the BRIMS of the hat.
In the 39th row we make increases in every 3rd column,
In the 45th row - every 4th, in the 51st - every 5th.
The point is that in each row with increases you need to add 56 CH (7 reports). That is, in the 39th 168/56 = 3, in the 45th (168+56)/56 = 4, etc.

STRENGTHENING FIELDS.

After the last row of fields is knitted, they need to be steamed well.
On a horizontal table surface, the fields should have the shape of a flat circle.

We take the SECOND regilin (TWO veins at once) and tie it with RLS. The length of regiline is not measured in advance!!! They just cut off the excess later.
We straighten the fields well.
Let's steam!
We tie the same row of RLS again. And we tie the last row with a “crawfish step” through the post.
On a plane, the fields should still be shaped like a flat circle.
Once again we steam the fields with an iron through a damp cloth!!!.
To add rigidity, I used SALVITOSE, which is used in felting.
Air dried.

DECORATION.
It must be removable - on a pin or button.

Knitting daisies is very easy.
Dial a chain of 2 v. p. In the first of them, knit 8 half-stitches and close them in a circle in the 1st half-stitch.

When the whole chamomile is ready, tie each of its petals in succession with connecting posts. This will allow them to keep their shape and not curl.

For the centers of the daisies, make small pom-poms using a regular dinner fork.

We wrap thread around the teeth of the fork. Then we tie it with an additional thread in the middle, remove it from the fork and tighten the knot. Then fluff and trim. Sew to the center of the daisy.

Two daisies are small, and one is slightly larger. For it, the scheme is the same, only for the petals we dial not 7, but 9 v. P.

I made a decoration on a button clasp for bags.
We will need a button and a knitted circle - this is what the daisies will be sewn on:

In finished form:

We attach the button to the hat

The Chamomile flower hat is suitable for spring and summer holidays, themed music classes or for staging a theatrical performance, for example “Waltz of the Flowers” by P.I. Tchaikovsky. The headdress is attached to a strip of elastic supplex. The strip stretches very well, so it will fit on any head. The voluminous leaves of the flower are made of shiny organza and soft mesh. The daisy itself is hand-cut from snow-white felt. The look will become more graceful if you wear the headdress slightly forward and to the side. The hat can act as an independent headdress, or be part of the “Chamomile” costume. It goes with a tutu skirt (), an American swimsuit () and mitts (). The gentle image of Chamomile is ready! These hats come in different colors and you can put together a whole bouquet. Flower caps are suitable for intensive use in kindergarten, but require delicate care. The headdress can only be washed by hand in cool water at a temperature of 30°C, treated with hot steam without touching the product and stored in a place protected from light and dust. Composition - 100% polyester.
Chamomile (lat. Matricária) is a genus of perennial flowering plants of the Asteraceae family, which unites about twenty species of low fragrant herbs that bloom in the first year of life. The most famous type is Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla, syn. Matricaria recutita), this plant is widely used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Often, chamomile (from a botanical point of view, erroneously) refers to plant species of other genera of the Asteraceae family, such as Aster, Gerbera, Doronicum, Nivyanik, Osteospermum, Pyrethrum, Papavka, Three-ribs, Chrysanthemum, whose inflorescence-baskets are characterized by marginal reed flowers with white or other colors of the petals and a darker central part of the inflorescence.
Waltz of the Flowers P.I. Tchaikovsky - "The Nutcracker" - Op. 71, ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky in two acts to a libretto by Marius Petipa based on the fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E. T. A. Hoffmann. The libretto for the ballet was created by Marius Petipa based on the fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffmann “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” (1816; the libretto was based on the adaptation of the fairy tale made in 1844 by Alexandre Dumas the Father, but the Theater Encyclopedia erroneously names Dumas as the author of the adaptation -son).

How to choose clothes in your size?

You will need to take measurements using a measuring tape. To determine the appropriate size, it is necessary to correlate the measurements obtained with the sizes in the table.

When measuring chest circumference, the tape should fit snugly to the body, pass along the most protruding points in front, through the armpits on the side, and wrap around the shoulder blades at the back.

Waist circumference is measured strictly horizontally along the narrowest part of the body, passing through the most protruding point of the abdomen.

When measuring the circumference of the hips, the tape should be horizontal, passing in the middle of the thigh and behind the most protruding points of the buttocks.

For the Panama hat you will need:

- Violet yarn from YarnArt (100% cotton, 282 m/50 g) - 2 skeins (the second skein will take quite a bit). Or any other yarn suitable in composition and yardage. For example, Violetta from Yarn, Maxi Madame Tricotte, etc.;

Hook No. 1.5;

Regilin, stoppers or crimps. The latter are needed to fasten the fields. But this is only one way. I will show it, but I will not impose it.

Satin ribbon 0.5 cm wide, 150 cm long.

Before we begin, I would like to pause for a second. on color combinations. Because a pattern is good, a beautiful decoration is wonderful, neat execution is excellent. But for me the most important thing is color combinations. Below in the picture I made a selection of samples of this yarn. In the upper left corner is the color of the base, i.e. the Panama hat.

The size of the panama hat turned out to be 49-50 cm. I drew a diagram for the same size. My OG Diana is 52 cm, so I will knit her with you and show you how to increase the size.

So, whoever is ready, you can start. Up to the 13th row inclusive, we knit the same way for both sizes.

!!! I almost forgot. When knitting a pattern in those places where we stick the hook into the post, it is advisable to use the “deep” sticking method. The hook must be inserted not under the two upper half-loops of the column, but into the body of the column itself. This method will not allow the pattern to shift when we knit with the crown.

After 13 rows, the bottom of the Panama hat should look like this:

I don’t focus much on diameter, but if someone needs it, I got 13 cm.

CONTINUATION...

While there is a minute for those who are very nimble, I will continue.

On the OG 49-50 cm in the 14th row we make increases in every 6th column. Total 168 CH and 168/8 (report size) = 21 reports.

On the OG 51-52 cm, in the same 14th row we make increments alternately in the 4th and 5th columns. The total should be 176 CH and 176/8 = 22 reports.

The width of the report is about 2 cm. If the essence of the final increases in the 14th row is clear, then you can do the calculations yourself for the required exhaust gas. If not, ask, I’ll count it.

Starting from the 15th row for all sizes we knit according to the pattern. Repeat rows 15-20 two more times.

We also knit rows 33-38 according to the pattern. They differ from the 15-20th only in the last row. Instead of a dc, I knitted a sc.

And also, how to understand whether you got the right size is difficult for me to answer. I often use a ball. I pump it up to the required size and if everything goes as it should, the Panama hat should fit it without tension and without tails. It’s convenient to try on and you don’t have to bother your child with fittings again.

CONTINUATION...

Fields

If you did everything correctly, the fields should have the shape of a flat circle on the plane.

We take regilin and tie it with RLS. I don't measure the length in advance. I just trim off the excess later.

This is what the fields look like after we knitted regilin into the last row

There should be 3-5 cm left to the edge

We straighten the fields well. I like doing this most of all on a ball, because you can immediately see where you need to correct, pull, or level. And unlike a child, he will not run away anywhere in the process.

We take the stopper. This is what these little round things look like.

We cut off the excess end of the regilin, leaving a small margin. Thread both ends into the stopper.

Flatten it with pliers. And we cut off the excess ends as close to the stopper as possible (not yet cut in the photo).

We tie the row to the end.

We tie the same row of RLS again. And we knit the last row in a crab step through the column.

Steam the fields again with an iron. In general, I iron everything in life, and the brims in panama hats are generally sacred.
