From this article you will learn how to knit an oval. The oval pattern will consist of three parts: two semicircles and one rectangle; we will crochet the product.

Semicircles are knitted according to the principle of circles with symmetrical wedges. Each semicircle must have its own center - an air loop. The semicircle consists of the following wedges:

• For double crochets - six wedges for each semicircle.
• For half double crochets - four wedges for each semicircle.
• For a single crochet - three wedges for each semicircle.

Increases in wedges are made in the same way as when knitting flat circles. Between the semicircles it is necessary to leave areas of straight knitting, in which there should be no increases for the cast-on chain. From these halves the result will be a rectangle that will separate the semicircles.

Knitting pattern for beginners.

The article is written for beginners, so a detailed description will be given for the scheme.

We cast on the required number of loops. In our case, we knitted according to the pattern and cast on twelve air loops plus three lifting air loops. There are fifteen air loops in total.

First row: We must insert the hook into the fourth loop and knit five double crochets.

We knit one single crochet into each loop of the chain. We repeat ten times.

We knit six double crochets into the last loop of the chain. In the same way, on the other side we knit one double crochet in each loop. We repeat ten times.

We close the row with a connecting post; to do this, we insert the hook into the three lifting air loops.

Second row: knit three lifting chain stitches. We knit one double crochet into the loop that you see in the picture.

In the next loop we knit two double crochets. We repeat it four times.

We knit one double crochet into each loop and knit two double crochets in each loop.

We knit ten double crochets and close the row with one connecting stitch.

Third row: we knit one double crochet into the base loop.

Fourth row: we knit three air loops of lifting, we knit one double crochet into the base loop. In the next pair of loops we knit one double crochet. After that, two more double crochets.

We knit one double crochet into the loops shown in the figure. We repeat this four times.

As a result, we get this result, similar to a mushroom.

We continue knitting and knit ten double crochets.

Repeat the previous step six more times.

We tie ten more double crochets. Our oval is almost ready.

Using a connecting post we close the row. We knit the column into the third lifting air loop.

If you want a larger oval, just continue knitting the oval according to the round rule and increase evenly for each row. In the same way, you can knit ovals from half double crochets and single crochets. To do this, use the following schemes:

In this lesson you will learn how to crochet an oval. An oval is an extended circle; it can be conditionally divided into 3 constituent elements: two semicircles and a rectangle between them.

To knit an oval correctly, you need to imagine how a circle is knitted. This is discussed in detail in this.

The technique of knitting semicircles is based on the technique of knitting a circle with symmetrical wedges. Each semicircle must have its own center - an air loop of the chain; each semicircle consists of several wedges:

• for double crochets - 6 wedges for each semicircle
• for half double crochets - 4 wedges for each semicircle
• for single crochets - 3 wedges for each semicircle

Increases in wedges are performed in the same way as when knitting flat circles. Between the semicircles there should be sections of straight knitting without increases on either side of the cast-on chain. These halves make a rectangle separating the semicircles.

Let's practice and knit an oval from double crochets according to this pattern:

We cast on the required number of loops. I knitted according to the pattern 12 ch. + 3 v.p.p. (i.e. 15 vp)

1st row: insert the hook into the 4th loop of the chain from the hook and knit 5 tbsp. s/n,

in the last loop of the chain we knit 6 tbsp. s/n, knitting begins to turn,

similarly knit on the other side 1 tbsp. s/n in each loop 10 times (i.e. 10 treble s/n)

We close the row with a connecting column, inserting a hook into 3 vp.

4th row: knit 3 ch.p.p.,

next two loops of 1 tbsp. s/n (2 st. s/n)*,

repeat from * 4 more times,

then repeat from * 6 times,

knit 10 tbsp. s/n,

3rd row- edge stitch, knit all 10 loops to the yarn over, pull the eleventh loop through the yarn over, return this loop to the left knitting needle and knit it, turn the work, yarn over from yourself and knit twelve (11+1) loops to the end of the row.

4 row- edge, knit 11 loops to the yarn over, pull the twelfth loop through the yarn over, return this loop to the left knitting needle and knit it, turn the work, make a yarn over from yourself and knit thirteen (12+1) loops.

6 row- edge, knit 12 loops to the yarn over, knit the yarn over and the thirteenth loop together with a tilt to the right, turn the work, yarn over from yourself and knit fourteen (13+1) loops.

7 row- edge, knit 13 loops to the yarn over, knit the yarn over and the fourteenth loop together with a tilt to the right, DO NOT turn the knitting over, knit the remaining loops.

Description of knitting

For the upper part, use a dark gray thread to knit a chain of 140 air. p. and close it with 1 connection. Art. into the ring. Next, knit in circular rows with the main pattern.
